SEO for property management: you are selling to owners, but the site is full of tenants

A property management company has two audiences and only one of them pays. Tenants arrive to pay rent and report a leak. Owners arrive to decide who looks after an asset worth hundreds of thousands. Most management sites are built for the first and lose the second.

Who holds the results

The top of this query is marketing agencies that specialise in property managers, alongside the large property management software companies. No management company ranks for it.

That fits the pattern of every trade we measure: the national phrase is where vendors meet managers. Owners search a city and a property type, and that is where the actual competition sits.

Split the site by who is reading

Tenants need a portal link, a maintenance request and the office hours, and they need them in one tap. Put that in a corner of the header and move on.

Owners need everything else, and the site should be built around them: what you charge, what that fee covers, how you find and screen tenants, how fast you fill a vacancy, how often they get a statement.

When the owner has to scroll past rental listings and a tenant login to find the management fee, they assume it is being hidden.

What an owner is comparing

The fee, stated plainly: a percentage of rent, a leasing fee, anything charged on renewal or on maintenance. Owners have usually been surprised by a line on a statement before and are reading for exactly that.

Property types and areas you actually manage. Single family homes, small multifamily and associations are different jobs, and each is its own search with a city attached.

Numbers you can stand behind: average days to lease, occupancy, how many doors you manage. Even one honest number beats a page of adjectives.

Our published prices: $800 to $2,500 for a one page site, from $3,000 for a business site, $250 / month for ongoing search work, one month at a time.
