SEO for small business

Small business SEO differs from the enterprise kind in one way that matters: there is no team to absorb the work. So the plan has to fit an owner who has an hour a month for this, the reporting has to be readable without training, and the money has to be small enough that four quiet months do not put the business at risk.

What you get

  • A short plan you can hold in your head: what we do this month, what we do next month, why in that order
  • Local search work where it applies: profile, service pages, contact data that matches everywhere
  • The pages your buyer asks for before they call, prices and process included
  • A monthly report in plain English, two minutes to read, with what moved and what did not
  • Everything in your accounts: the site, the domain, the analytics, Search Console
  • No lock in: one month at a time, and we hand everything over if you stop

How it works

  1. 01

    Reality check

    week 1

How much demand exists for what you sell, in numbers. If it is thin, we say so before you spend, and that conversation is free.

  2. 02

    Base

    week 1 to 3

The technical pass and the pages you already have. Cheapest work with the largest effect, and it protects what you already earn.

  3. 03

    One page at a time

    monthly

Highest intent question first. Small businesses win on specific pages, not on volume, because volume is the one thing a larger competitor can always outspend you on.

What it costs

Ranges, not a single number: the final figure is fixed in writing before we start. Responsive design and on page SEO are included, not add ons.

Monthly plan

Technical care, one to two new pages a month, local work where it applies, monthly report.

$250 / month
One time setup

Audit, technical base, Search Console, the first pages.

$400 once

When not to hire us

  • You need the phone to ring this month. Paid ads do that, SEO does not, and pretending otherwise wastes your money.
  • Nobody searches for what you sell. We check that first and will tell you plainly.
  • You want to spend as little as possible and expect an agency result. Cheap and slow is honest, cheap and fast is a story.

Questions

Is SEO worth it for a small business?
It is worth it when people search for what you sell and your competitors are winning those searches by default. It is not worth it when demand is tiny or when your buyers come from referrals only. Checking that takes us a day and costs you nothing.
How much should SEO cost for a small business?
Ours is $250 a month plus $400 once, published rather than quoted after a call. A small studio with low overhead can work at that number, and you can check every month what it bought.
How much of my time will this take?
About an hour a month: answering a few questions about the work and reading the report. More at the start, when we need the details about your business that nobody else has.
Do I have to sign for a year?
No. One month at a time. Long contracts protect the agency, not you, and a plan that only works if you cannot leave is not a plan.
What if it does not work?
Then you stop, and you keep the pages, the site and the accounts, because they were always yours. We will not promise a result we cannot control, and we would rather lose the sale than sell you a guarantee.
